My research interests include operating systems, distributed systems, scalable Internet services, systems security, and large-scale content delivery systems.
I am an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow, a recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER award, a co-founder of Skytap (formerly known as illumita), and I held the Torode Family Endowed Career Development Professorship in Computer Science. I participate in triathlon, having completed five Ironman distance events.
