I am a second-year PhD student at UW CSE advised by Katharina Reinecke. My research interests broadly lie in the intersection of natural language processing (NLP) and human-computer interaction (HCI). I am particularly interested in understanding how NLP systems perform in diverse socio-cultural contexts, developing efficient (and ethical) data collection processes, and building richer interactive systems.
In summer 2022, I interned with the Allen AI Mosaic team. Before UW, I was an AI Center Fellow at Microsoft Research, where I worked on NLP for low resource languages. I've also spent time at Carnegie Mellon University and University College London, as well as two summers with Google Summer of Code contributing to Julia Language and Mozilla.
