Project 2 – CS169

The purpose of this assignment is to give the course staff
the information needed to form teams for the course projects. We will try to take into consideration your
preferences for projects, your coding ability, and any other concerns you may
have in forming teams, but the overriding goal for the course staff is to form
teams that have a good chance of successfully carrying out each of the selected
projects. This assignment requires you
to use a web form to state your preferences and programming skills. We will use
these to form the teams. You can find the form at
http://inst.eecs.berkeley.edu/~cs169/projectbid.cgi. You must do the following
things.
- Read
the project ideas on the web page handouts/proposals.txt. Pick
the top 5 proposals that you like, and specify them on the form.
- Assess your programming skills and
ability. Think about the size (in lines of code) of the largest amount of
code that you have written as part of one project. Think also about the
size of the largest project you have been involved in. We are only
interested in rough estimates.
- You can list the names of up to three
people who are in the class and you would prefer to partner with. You can
also list up to two colleagues that you would rather not partner with. We
cannot promise that we’ll be able to satisfy your requests.
When you press “submit” on the form, your preferences will
be saved.
Notes:
- If you
do not have a class login, use your student ID instead of the class login
- If you
make duplicate submissions, we will only consider the last one
