I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the UW in 2006. Like many recent college grads, I was pretty much unsure of where my career was headed. As an undergrad here I had some truly unforgettable experiences and made life-long friends. I lived in Lander Hall, studied abroad in Athens, Greece, and just generally enjoyed my time at the UW and in Seattle. It wasn't until late in senior year that I realized I had no real post-graduation plan! So, after graduating and spending a few years working various positions on campus, I eventually became an Admissions Counselor at DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond, WA. It was at DigiPen that I began a two-year whirlwhind of cross-country travel and discovered the amazing combination of student affairs and computer science. While I enjoyed seeing the U.S. and chatting with the programmers, artists, and HR folk in attendance at Game Developer's Conferences and other recruitment events, my heart remained with the Huskies and I knew that someday I would be back. And now here I am, the newest member of CSE advising. I'm also currently finishing up my Masters in Higher Education Leadership and Policy here at the UW. I have a passion for helping others and genuinely enjoy working with and advising undergrads. |
