2Kenya and China on Thursday pledged to strengthen bilateral cooperation during a meeting between senior officials of the two countries .
3A high-level delegation headed by Wang Gang , vice chairman of the Chinese People 's Political Consultative Conference National Committee and member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee , arrived here on Wednesday afternoon to for a four-day friendship visit to Kenya .
4`` Our bilateral relations is very cordial as this has been demonstrated by sincere trust and mutual cooperation between the two countries , '' Wang Gang said in talks with Kenyan Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka .
5He said the Sino-Kenyan ties have witnessed great development of friendship and successful cooperation in such fields as politics , infrastructure and trade , as well as mutual support in international affairs .
6Wang said the two countries have respected and accommodated each other 's core interests and major concerns .
7For his part , Musyoka expressed thanks for China 's assistance for Kenya in the past years and briefed Wang on Kenya 's efforts to push forward regional peace , stability and integration .
8The vice president said that the east African nation appreciates the huge investment China has put into Kenya 's infrastructure , noting that the Kenyan coalition government will continue to attache greater importance to bilateral relations with China by further strengthening mutual cooperation in various fields and unswervingly sticking to the one-China position .
