Ethan Weinberger

I'm a first-year second-year PhD student at the Paul G. Allen School for Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington, where I'm advised by Su-In Lee. I graduated in 2018 from Yale University, where I was fortunate to be advised by Yuval Kluger. In between my undergraduate and graduate studies I spent a year at Bridgewater Associates.

My research interests are at the intersection of machine learning and medicine. Medicine presents sets of constraints, including (but not limited to) small datasets and a strong need for interpretability, that have limited the adoption of modern ML techniques in the field. My work is focused on developing methods to overcome these constraints.
