Mansoor Pervaiz

I am a PhD student in the Personal Health Informatics program at Northeastern University’s College of Computer and Information Science, advised by Professor Rupal Patel. A native of Lahore, Pakistan, I received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences in Pakistan. I was a co-founder for Pakistan’s first and largest mobile social network, smsall.pk. While in Pakistan, also developed a telephone-based social platform to provide health literacy in populations with a low literacy rate, and developed epidemic outbreak prediction systems for the flu in the United States, and dengue fever in Pakistan

Now continuing my education at Northeastern, my research includes artificial intelligence, human-centered computing, machine learning, and personal health informatics. I would like to develop assistive technology that would allow individuals with neuro-motor disorders such as Parkinson’s disease to increase their communication abilities.
