I am on the job market for both faculty and industry roles. I anticipate graduating in June, 2023.
Welcome to my website! I am Jungo Kasai, a fifth-year PhD student in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington advised by Professor
Noah A. Smith.
My long-term research goal is to advance the democratization of NLP and AI knowledge, where people with diverse skill levels and research backgrounds can: build, use, analyze, and evaluate models; collaborate to solve research problems; and accelerate advances in NLP and AI.
Prior to the UW, I received a B.S. in Statistics at Yale University, advised by Professor
Robert Frank and Dr.
Owen Rambow from Columbia. I also worked on projects with Professor
Dragomir Radev in the Department of Computer Science. I was a member of the
LILY Lab and the
CLAY Lab.
