About me

Hi, thanks for visiting the site. I'm a security/privacy researcher who just finished an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a concentration in computer security at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. My research interests are Usable, Web, and Mobile & IoT Security/Privacy, and Cybersecurity Education. I plan on starting a PhD program somewhere in Fall 2020. Through my research, I hope to help make good security practices easier for people and help them protect their privacy. I'm especially interested in the computer security/privacy needs of marginalized communities. I'm originally from rural Louisiana (yes I can cook), and I got my undergraduate degree at Rice University in Houston, TX. I'm a first generation college student, and I feel strongly about doing things that have a positive community impact, whether that be through my research or in my extracurricular activities. I'm Black, I love being Black, and I think that's important to say cause I spent a significant portion of my childhood wishing I wasn't Black. My progress in life has been the summation of all the investments everyone in my life has made in me, and I deeply appreciate and love all of you.
