Biography Anthony LaMarca is an Intel Principal Engineer and part of the Intel Science and Technology Center (ISTC) based at the University of Washington in Seattle. From 2001-2010 Anthony was a researcher and then Associate Director of Intel Labs Seattle. Prior to joining Intel in 2001, Anthony worked at both Yahoo and Xerox PARC doing advanced development and research on web and ubiquitous computing applications. His research interests include location and sensing technologies, context awareness, and ubiquitous, mobile and parallel computing. He co-led the Everyday Sensing and Perception project with the goal of building vision-based technologies for inferring common human contexts. He has a BS in computer science from the University of California at Berkeley and an MS and PhD in computer science and engineering from the University of Washington.
