The computing industry grew up with Moore’s law
- Knows how to cope, adapt, benefit from rapid change
Not so, the telecommunications industry (e.g., HDTV vs. DTV)
- Among other things, the fact that telecommunications is an infrastructure business has limited the overall pace of change
