Join the lab!
[ The opportunities here are up-to-date through Spring 2025. ]
Prospective Postdoctoral Researchers
We have been busy recruiting and have now filled all lab-funded positions. There may still be opportunities to work together for postdocs who secure independent funding. We have some fantastic postdoc fellowship programs at UW and the Allen Institute, such as the Shanahan Foundation Fellowship and the Swartz Fellowship.
Prospective Graduate Students
We have been busy recruiting and have now filled all lab-funded positions. There may still be opportunities to work together for students who secure independent funding (e.g., NSF-GRFP, NSF-CSGrad4US, NDSEG, Hertz, Ford, etc.).
To join the lab as a graduate student, you must first be admitted through one of UW's PhD programs. Please consider applying to the CSE PhD program and/or the Neuroscience PhD program at UW. It may also be possible for us to work together through other UW PhD programs. Application fee waivers are available here.
Prospective Undergraduate Researchers
All of our undergraduate research positions are currently filled.
We occasionally have openings for talented and motivated undergraduates to join the lab. The best way to prepare for research in our lab is to take CSE446/546 or CSE599N with Professor Golub, to excel in the course, and to actively engage with Professor Golub about course/research topics through regularly attended office hours. To be considered for a research role during a given academic quarter, you must be physically present on campus for the entire duration of the quarter, starting from day 1 of classes and through the end of finals week.
