Full Instructions     (Expand/Collapse)

Thanks for participating in this HIT! You will read a sentence fragment depicting an event. The names of specific people have been replaced by generic words (e.g. "PersonY", "PersonZ"). The fragment may also contain "___", a placeholder that can be an object, a person, and/or an action.

The fragment may also be a figurative expression (e.g. "PersonX cuts corners"). If the fragment is figurative, please answer all questions according to the figurative meaning.

If the event does not make sense and you think there was a typo, please correct it in the Optional Feedback box.

If the event could sometimes include other people and sometimes not include them, please answer the questions including those other people.

Please note:

We have automatically prefiltered these events to try to choose ones that are understandable. Therefore, our expectation is that you will be able to fill in some responses for most of these events. If you are struggling to come up with answers for several HITs in a row, you may want to contact us to clarify the instructions.
