CSE Curriculum Revision Committee
Agenda for Tuesday, 1/27/09, 11-noon, CSE Room 110

We have the following goals for the meeting:

Digest the curriculum discussion from last week's External Advisory Committee
(Based on last week's discussion), determine what the committee can do to ensure the structural/content changes do not overlook:
- A focus on what students can do at each point in the curriculum.
- A focus on the informal learning / maturity / self-reliance that is essential as students move through the program.
Make progress on a framework for structural changes

Given these goals, we have the following rough agenda:

Dan: Share discussions/conclusions from the External Advisory Committee; get reactions
Stuart: Sketch how we might proceed in terms of course-size "boxes" that we would describe in terms of both content and post-course skills/abilities.
