I'm a 3rd year PhD student in Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington. I'm advised by Amy Zhang and part of the Social Futures Lab. My research interests are human-computer interaction and social computing. Specifically, I am interested in designing AI-powered interactive tools to support communication and collaboration in teams. I'm also broadly interested in understanding the representation of differences in collaborative technology and designing mechanisms to support and embrace differences in collaboration

Before coming to UW, I spent a year in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute (HCII) at CMU, working with Prof. Haiyi Zhu. Before that, I earned my BA at Macalester College, where I studied Sociology, Mathematics and Computer Science. I also worked at the GroupLens Lab at the University of Minnesota during my undergrad.
