an Opium smuggler between the Camaithans and Skall. Worked with Gorebob and hired Lusiphur, Lester, Brachen, Wil, and Cronos as hired guns. Considered Lusiphur his bodyguard after he worked there 6 months (7).

the Bitter Wastes
a northern region that defines the Steps' location (?). Dragons have been spotted there recently (13).

the Black Guard
some sort of high-ranking Elvin guard. Their responsibilities include tracking down murderers of the Council of Nine (18). Jace was a former member (17).

The seer of the bell. the Redeemer of Dun (12). Strives to tell people of the Evil, guard them against it, give them the protecting light of the White Cow, and prepare them for the Great battle. Feels that it is key to assassinate Luse (the Demon's Elf) to prevent the beast from chanelling through him. Bears an uncanny resemblance to Moochau (18).

a town in which Lusiphur accidentally shot a child in a 1477 barfight (2).

Brownies
a twisted breed of Elves (8).

Bubba
one of Jed's followers. Part of Amineta's welcoming commitee (1).

Bulldog Tavern
the tavern in Palasach where Luse and Jace originally met. Located at 14371 Jest St (4). The Nick also had a man who was in on this conversation (5).

Burl
the owner of the Shotgun Tavern in Lowe. Questioned by Elvin troops investigating the Doppelganger incident (18).
