a chain of islands in the Southeast off of the coast where Skall is located. Torn up by hurricanes in the fall, and known for their Poppy crops (7).

Cambridge Mountains
a route to Mandratha where Dark Trolls may live (19).

Camel
an animal made for getting through deserts (with or without you aboard) (13).

Camel Soup
one of Luse's culinary favorites. Unfortunately, the recipe is largely unknown (13).

Captain C.M. Sigmund
captain of the guard in Mossk (17).

Captain Perkins
the officer of the Mandratha guard originally in charge of investigating the murder of Beth and her friends. Replaced on this investigation by Lieutentant Vido (2).

Captain Williams
a Captain of the Mandratha guard who heads up the handling of the Mole Collector's 37th victim (18).

Carishia
the House (Step?) in which Ailwon was a war duke (13).

Carlblagh-Uin
a Troll Forge referred to as a black citadel. Now in rubble under the Dead Swamp due to a revolt by the Dwarves who worked there after the south was freed (8,9).

Cantaloupe Whiskey
a favorite of Luse's, made in Amineta (16). Declared the finest cheap whiskey in Amrahly'nn (18).

Carpathin Tapestries
the object of Lusiphur's first big theft, which was botched. A set of seven which are worth a half million crowns. They are quite old and not very waterproof (5).

Cassandra
one of Morachi's top Assassins (2). A red-headed Elf (2,3) and love interest of Luse (5). Named regent lieutenant in Lester's absence (11). Had a two-month fling with Talon around 1510 (12).

Cassy
short for Cassandra (2).

Caverhorn Prison
where Luse was serving a life imprisonment after stealing the Carpathin Tapestries (5).

Cedric Sol Daldringaith
an Elvin Wizard of spectacular power who destroyed all the Trolls who knew of magic. This resulted in magic being removed from the hands of Trolls and other evil races (9).

Ceflam
one of the Twin Cities, where Luce stopped during his trip from Clefavor to Palasach. The Nick couldn't touch him there (5), perhaps due to Lord Garn's influence.

Cercie
a gypsy woman that Luse and Jace save from a large Troll (19). Her family's caravan of wagons was smashed and their fate and whereabouts are unknown (20). Another botched love interest of Lusiphur's who left their company after a big fight (7).

Children of the Dust
a nickname for members of Sanctuary (2).

Chimera
animals twisted into existence by the Trolls to serve them (8).

the Choking Goat Inn
an inn in eastside Mandratha where few cops hang out (36).

Chuck
one of Beth's deadbeat friends (1). Chuck is also the name of a member of the Mandratha guard (17).

Cicilo
the home of a cripple who was driven insane by his dreams (7).

Cin
short for Cynthia (2).

Cinlach
a magical sword made of Elvin steel which is over 1,000 years old and the last of its kind (13). Forged in Ailwon's step in a fire that's been dead since the last days of the Dark Wars. Sharp enough to cut through an ogre's thighbone easily. Involved in fights with Dragons, Trolls, Demons, and Kings, although Luse was the first to use it since 1512 (14). A link can be formed with it -- bleeding on the crosspiece's stone is the first step (17).

Clefavor
one of the Twin Cities. Luse worked here for Lord Garn for a period. In October of 1513, he set out for Palasach (4).

Cocoa
a drug used in interrogation (16).

Coglith
the Troll-King who slayed Cedric Sol Daldringaith. He put a curse on the Kesh as he died which caused it to transform into its current desert state (9).

the Core
a being which controls the E'jja (16) and lives beyond time (39). He keeps their souls in a box (16). Morachi claims to be friendly with him (39).

Council of Nine
the ruling Elvin body. Ailwon was a member (14). Also serves as a diplomatic party when dealing with the Humans (18).

Cronos
another of Lester's co-conspirator's against Billy Kraw (7).

Crow
a favorite interjection of Luse's. e.g. Eat Crow

Cynthia
Sanctuary's healer (2). Prefers women (12).
