- the Mad Hatter

- Maha
- the name of the camel which Luse bought from Ahab the Camel Merchant for 5 nails and a bottle of cheap whiskey. Said to be worth 2 tacks and a watery ale (13).
- Malamarh'nn
- a healer's village near Amineta run by the Mother of Khi (1,18). Soon after Amineta's destruction, it was overrun by terrified survivors, authorities, and fanatics of varying levels of psychosis. Lirilith was made the guardian of it, but the village was still destroyed. Presumably in Illishiet Rome (18).
- Mandratha
- the second largest city on Amrahly'nn's west coast, and fifth largest known overall (7,24). Luse's long-term goal for awhile in order to go underground and learn how to use Cinlach and the Well of Souls (13). A good place to get a tatoo (16). Lirilith (17), and Friedrich and Balinarch (18) are here.

- neighbor of Mandratha's Precinct 29 safehouse (30).
- Mayor William Ladhammer
- the Mayor of Mandratha (5).
- Mimes
- something that almost makes Lusiphur mad (14).
- Minor Mandratha
- the city outside of the walls of Mandratha (39).
- Mishah
- Tenth's cat (14) and apprentice (33).
- Mistwood
- a nice place to sleep. Said to be haunted (11).
- Mogre-Ur
- Elvin High Wizard. Author of Of Amrahly'nn (8,9). Lives in the first Step (13).
- Mole Collector
- a Mandratha psychopath who kills his victims during sex and collects their moles. Ewww. (17).
- Mom
- (Lusiphur's) Found Lusiphur at a young age with her husband (8). Died due to Trenchfoot (8) (8).
- Moochau
- e-fil genius of dur seven known vorlts. Summoner of Six-Tell Amlah (1).
- Morachi
- an albino Elf, 7' tall (10) and over 1,000 years old (2). Known as the Black Sabbath or the King of Thieves. (2). Once based in Port Sarnwog (10), more recently head of Sanctuary in west Mandratha with his brother Talon (1). Secretly a member of the Elvin High Council (3), but currently deactivated (13). Is married, but living apart from his wife (6,13).
- Mossk
- the town, presumably just west of Murderer's Pass, where Luse runs into Widowmaker (16).
- Mother of Khi
- in charge of the healer's sect in Malamarh'nn. Declared the village to be `tainted by evil' after the fall of Amineta and scattered the sect to the four corners of Illishiet Rome (18).
- Mount Fiini
- the Southern boundary of Murderer's Pass (15).
- Mr. Moto
- Sanctuary's personal trainer (3). Nipponese philosopher and fighter (4).
- Mount Palith
- a mountain on which Lusiphur, Jace, and Cercie encounter the Purple Marauder (20).
- Murderer's Pass
- a passage just west of the Kesh which leads to Mandratha (12?,14). Two days ride out of the Samwahawns (13). The most dangerous, unpopulated piece of real estate in Illishiet Rome (14).
